My First Workshop

While being in Seattle this past weekend I ran my first workshop, an introduction to PPI Skin Illustrator product line. The workshop was a success and now there are plans being made for a series of workshops taught by me using these products. Words cannot describe how amazing life feels right now. I LOVE my jobs being a Special Makeup FX Artist and Voice Actor and now to add to that I get to help other people with disabilities outside of just myself! I think this is going to hold great opportunities; I am SO excited about it!!

The Daily News

To have my story published in the local newspaper I have to say was a pretty surreal experience.  Thank you so much for acknowledging my accomplishments within the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program. The article that was written recognized the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program for what it is, a pageant to advocate for people with disabilities and NOT a beauty pageant. When people hear the word “pageant” they think automatically about beauty pageants, not really knowing that there are other types of pageants out there. I had a great time being interviewed and photographed for the article, which was so beautifully written.

Thank You to the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program

It is an honor to be crowned Ms. Wheelchair Washington 2014! I completely didn’t expect to be crowned my first time running. I just want to say thank you to the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program and ALL involved!! The pageant on March 8th, 2014 was a day I will truly NEVER forget. Even if I hadn’t won this title it was such an unforgettable experience, with unforgettable people. I Love that everyone is so motivating and welcoming. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcomed and a part of the group it means a lot to me. Even after my year as Ms. Wheelchair Washington is up I hope to continue to be a part of this fantastic group of people.

Thank you so much with ALL my heart!!

King 5 News

I would like to thank King 5 News for providing me with the opportunity to do a live interview. Everyone was SO nice and inviting. The interview, though short, was a very awesome experience; I was in one of my favorite cities and on one of its major news stations. I really valued the gesture taken to get a group shot that can now lead to a lasting memory. I am very much looking forward to what this year will hold.

Jenny Adams Final Message

The time has come to crown the next Ms. Wheelchair Washington 2014! The Pageant was on Saturday March 8th, 2014. It was surreal to get ready that morning realizing that I had been there getting ready for the same event exactly 1 year ago. I have packed a lifetime of adventure into this year. Winning the title last year opened so many doors to share my message of “The Power of Words” in Washington State. And then, I won the National title. I have published a book and traveled the nation sharing my platform “Inclusion Revolution.” I skied, I surfed, I overcame so much fear. I’m still Ms. Wheelchair America until August, 2014. I know this is only the beginning of many great adventures to come! This years pageant was yet again another day full of fun and making new friends! The Ms. Wheelchair Washington 2014 crown goes to Evelyna Castro. I am so excited for her!! Her platform is “Acceptance Through Adversity.” She will be a great advocate for people with disabilities in Washington State!! And she will be going to Nationals in August.
