The Daily News

To have my story published in the local newspaper I have to say was a pretty surreal experience.  Thank you so much for acknowledging my accomplishments within the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program. The article that was written recognized the Ms. Wheelchair Washington Program for what it is, a pageant to advocate for people with disabilities and NOT a beauty pageant. When people hear the word “pageant” they think automatically about beauty pageants, not really knowing that there are other types of pageants out there. I had a great time being interviewed and photographed for the article, which was so beautifully written.
